The Hiba Arts department is comprised of visual art, design technology, music and performing arts. We offer a program introduced to pupils in primary and continued into secondary junior high in arts-specialist lessons. The Hiba Arts route continues into IGCSE with music, drama and art & design exam courses and beyond into IBDP study with music, theatre and visual arts. Thus, we hope to offer pupils an arts curriculum that is continually 'arts-rich' not merely 'inclusive of arts'. Early primary lessons therefore facilitate creative play and confident exploration, then explicit skill-development occurs as we move into middle and upper primary. Contextual understanding of each art form is formalised; and this leads organically into preparatory work in junior high in readiness of IGCSE study and then the IBDP.

The arts at Hiba are not a marginal part of the curriculum but, rather, are celebrated as a vital and vibrant part of Hiba's lifeblood. The Hiba Arts student journey is forged in both purposeful curriculum design and an extensive Hiba Arts CCA program, both of which feed our vibrant Arts events.
At Hiba, there is the firm understanding that studying the arts leads to fulfilment and success, for where there are no 'black and white' answers, there are instead creative options to be found, creative expression to demonstrate and creative collaboration to enjoy.
